Tidewatch Command

Tidewatch Command asks you to hold a stretch of coast against waves of raiders, and it's far more thoughtful than that pitch sounds. Resources are tight, positioning is everything, and the tide itself changes which routes the enemy can take each turn. I lost my first three maps badly and loved every second of learning why.

The controls handle a lot of information gracefully. You pinch to zoom the map, tap to assign orders, and a clean sidebar keeps your economy visible without clutter. It never feels like it's fighting the small screen.

Later missions introduce weather and morale systems that layer nicely on top of the basics. It's a strategy game that respects your brain, and it runs beautifully even on an older phone.
