Ashfall Wanderers

Ashfall Wanderers is the rare mobile RPG that trusts you to read. It's built around a small band of travellers crossing a ruined countryside, and the writing carries real weight. Choices you make in the first hour quietly reshape conversations much later, and I caught myself hesitating over dialogue options far more than I expected from a phone game.

Combat is turn-based and smartly paced for short bursts. You queue actions, position matters, and each companion's abilities feed into the others in ways that reward experimentation. The touch interface keeps everything one tap away, and battles rarely overstay their welcome.

If I have a complaint, it's that the inventory screen gets cluttered late on. But the story pulled me through anyway. This is the kind of RPG you finish and then miss.
