Hollow Lantern is a mood piece more than a puzzle box, and it works because that mood is so well built. You explore a quiet, half-flooded town, solving gentle environmental riddles and piecing together what happened to the people who lived there. The lantern isn't just decoration; its light reveals paths and hides others, and managing it becomes part of every scene.

The touch controls are minimal by design. You tap to move, hold to examine, and the game never rushes you. That restraint is the point. I played it late at night with headphones and it genuinely got under my skin.

Don't come here for challenge or action. Come for the atmosphere, the sound design, and a story told mostly through the spaces you walk through.
